Men's Rowing Places 19th at Head of the Charles

Beat out EARC rivals Navy and Cornell
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Syracuse men's rowing team placed 19th in the championship eight event at the Head of the Charles on Sunday afternoon. It marked the first time the team had competed at the world's largest two-day regatta since 2013.
The Orange covered the course in 15:49.508, beating out Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges (EARC) foes Navy and Cornell. Syracuse finished 15th among the American colleges that participated in the event.
Head coach Dave Reischman's crew consisted of coxswain Dominic Santora, Andrew Reichard, Pieter Kerpestein, Noah Messner, Nick Tavares, Sveta Radovic, Matthew Barni, Mike Glaude, and Sam Busco.
Following the Head of the Charles, the Orange will be back in action on Sunday, Oct. 30 at the Princeton Chase in Princeton, N.J.
