Palamar Wins John Reif Memorial

For the second-straight year, a member of the Syracuse men's cross country team won the John Reif Memorial Run, this time it was Adam Palamar who took home the crown.

Rachel Bonner picked up the individual win for the women, but was competing unattached and was the only competitor from the women's roster.
Palamar cruised to a time of 15:02.4 on the 5k course, beating freshmen Joe Dragon (15:06.0) and Dominic Hockenbury (15:22.4) for second and third respectively. The tandem was competing as unattached on the afternoon.
Simon Smith finished fourth, crossing the line in 15:02, with Nick Ryan (15:32.9) and Shawn Wilson (15:37.8) in sixth and seventh respectively for Syracuse to post six of the top-seven times on the day.
Robert Hall (16:37.2) and Paul Lovell (17:18.1) rounded out the Orange in the competition with 15th and 17th place finishes respectively.
Syracuse will next head to the ACC Championships, where the men are looking for its fifth-straight conference title. Races will get underway on Friday.
