Road Matches Await Orange at Boston College, Virginia

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange volleyball team travels to Boston College (6-16, 1-11 ACC) and Virginia (5-19, 2-10 ACC) this week following a split weekend at home in the Women's Building.

The Orange and Eagles will face off in the Conte Forum/Power Gym in Chestnut Hill, Mass. for a mid-week game on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m.

'Cuse will then move south to face the Cavaliers in the Memorial Gymnasium in Charlottesville, Va. on Friday at 7 p.m.

Both matches will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra. Live stats will also be available on Cuse.com for both games.

The last time out, the Orange and the Eagles met on Syracuse's home court, as 'Cuse won in four sets this past September. The game marked the third-straight victory for the Orange over the Eagles.

The pair first met at the Providence Invitational in Rhode Island in 1982, and played each other every year after through 2005. Following that year, Syracuse and Boston College took a seven-year hiatus before the Orange joined the ACC in 2013. The Eagles haven't beaten the Orange since 2014.

The Orange and the Cavaliers first met in 1990 when 'Cuse won the match in three sets (15-11, 15-9, 15-7). Syracuse leads the series with Virginia, 5-3-0, and has claimed a victory over UVA each year since joining the ACC.

The last time the two teams met, Syracuse junior Leah Levert tallied 10 blocks and junior Belle Sand totaled 19 digs, helping the Orange to win in five sets (24-26, 25-11, 25-18, 23-25, 16-14).
