Louisville, Notre Dame await Orange
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – With two games remaining in the 2016 slate, the Orange volleyball team takes to the road to face Louisville on Wednesday and Notre Dame on Friday to close out the season.
'Cuse and the Cardinals square off at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, while the Orange meet the Fighting Irish at Purcell Pavilion in South Bend, Ind. for a 1 p.m. game on Friday. Both games will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.
Syracuse is 7-21 overall on the season and 6-12 among Atlantic Coast Conference competition. Louisville is 10-18 overall and 5-13 in the ACC, while Notre Dame is 20-10 and 11-7 in conference play.
The Orange and the Cardinals met at the Women's Building earlier this year, as Syracuse came away with the five-set victory to mark the second program win over Louisville. Wednesday's game will be the 23rd meeting between the teams.
Syracuse trails Notre Dame in the 27-game all-time series, 5-22, and look to claim the first win over the Fighting Irish this year. UND defeated 'Cuse in three sets earlier this season at the Women's Building.
