SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- For the second time in five days, Syracuse will face a former BIG EAST foe when it hosts St. John's on Wednesday, Dec. 21. Tip off in the Carrier Dome is set for 7 p.m.

FOR STARTERS

Syracuse (7-4) recorded 34 assists on 37 field goals in its victory against Eastern Michigan. It is the highest number of assists the Orange have recorded in a game since dishing out 34 against Morgan State in 2010.
Eight players reached double figures in scoring against the Eagles. That group included all five starters as well as Tyus Battle, Taurean Thompson and Tyler Roberson. Battle led all scorers with a career-high 18 points.
Sophomore Frank Howard had 11 assists against Eastern Michigan, marking the fourth time this season he has had more than 10 assists in a game. He also scored 10 points for his third double-double of the season. Howard leads the ACC and ranks ninth in the nation in assists per game (6.9).

RED STORM FORECAST

St. John's has lost its last two games and enters Wednesday's game with a 5-7 record. In its last contest, the Red Storm lost to Penn State, 92-76, in the Madison Square Garden Holiday Festival on Sunday.
Marcus LoVett leads a group of three players who average double figures in scoring for St. John's. LoVett leads the way, tallying 17.8 points per game, while Shamorie Ponds adds 16.9 points per contest. Bashir Ahmed contributes 11.8 points per game and leads the Red Storm on the boards, pulling down 5.8 rebounds per game.
Head coach Chris Mullin is in his second year at the helm at his alma mater. He has guided St. John's to a record of 13-31.

SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse leads the all-time series with St. John's, 51-39. However, the Red Storm has won the last two meetings between the two schools, including last year's meeting, 84-72, at Madison Square Garden.
