
Three Earn All-Region Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Syracuse sophomore Miles Robinson leads a group of three Orange who have earned All-South Region honors. Robinson was voted to the All-South Region First Team, while freshman Mo Adams was selected to the All-Region Second Team. In addition, senior Chris Nanco earned All-Region Third Team accolades. The All-Region teams were announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Robinson is a semifinalist for the 2016 Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy, which is the highest individual honor in collegiate soccer. He was selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Defensive Player of the Year and was an All-ACC First Team performer. Robinson started all 17 matches in which he played, helping the Orange to 10 shutouts. He also contributed on the offensive end as he posted a career-high nine points on four goals and one assist.

Adams, who was one of only three freshmen to earn All-South Region honors, started all 19 matches in which he played this season. The midfielder earned All-ACC Third Team honors and was selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team. Adams scored his first collegiate goal in Syracuse's 2-0 win at Hartford.

Nanco led the Orange in scoring 2016 with a career-high 15 points. He tallied seven goals, which is also a career high. He scored two goals in a match twice this season, the second coming against Pittsburgh in the opening round of the ACC Tournament. Nanco was voted to the All-ACC First Team.

Syracuse finished the 2016 season with a 12-4-4 record. The Orange earned the No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the third consecutive season.
