'Cuse Faces Media Day In St. Louis

ST. LOUIS - Syracuse handled its day before the game responsibilities on what is media day at the NCAA Tournament in St. Louis.
After entering the Scottrade Center for the first time, Syracuse's players and Coach Jim Boeheim went through mandatory media sessions. Graduate students Trevor Cooney and Michael Gbinije represented the team in the main media interview room while the rest of the roster took questions in the team locker room. Coach Boeheim had his turn in the main media room as well as sessions with CBS, who is televising the game, and Westwood One, the primary NCAA radio partner for the event.
Once interviews were completed, the Orange took the floor in the Scottrade Center for a 50-minute practice that was open to the media and the public. Syracuse also has a closed practice scheduled Thursday afternoon.
The Orange take on Dayton at 12:15 p.m. ET on Friday, March 18, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The winner of that game will take on the winner of Michigan State vs. Middle Tennessee State in second-round play on Sunday.
