SYRACUSE, N.Y. -Â The No. 14/15 Syracuse University women's basketball team will take on No. 3/2 South Carolina in the 2016 NCAA Tournament regional semifinals on Friday night in Sioux Falls, S.D. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. EST in the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

Tickets for the Friday session are $25, which includes convenience fees. If Syracuse should advance to the Sunday game, one will be charged $17 per ticket for the same quantity one purchased for the Friday session. Tickets are available for purchase here.

Friday's contest will be televised on ESPN and Beth Mowins (pbp) and Stephanie White (analyst) will be on the call. Brian Higgins '04 (pbp) will be on the call live on the Syracuse IMG Sports Network. As always, follow @CuseWBB on Twitter for live in-game updates.

In its last game, Syracuse defeated Albany, 76-59, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on March 20. With the win, the Orange advanced to their first regional semifinal in program history. Redshirt junior guard Brittney Sykes led the way against the Great Danes, notching a season-high 24 points.

South Carolina enters Friday's contest with a 33-1 overall record and won the Southeastern Conference Tournament title. The Gamecocks were ranked No. 2 nationally in the latest release of the USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 3 in the country in the most current Associated Press Poll. South Carolina defeated Kansas State, 73-47, on March 20 to advance to the regional semifinals for the third straight season.

Making HistoryÂ
The Syracuse University women's basketball team has had its most successful season in program history in 2015-16. Syracuse has won 27 games, setting a new program record. The Orange won 23 games in the regular season and notched 13 conference contests, matching two school records.

After winning its first two NCAA Tournament contests over the past two seasons, Syracuse advanced to its regional semifinals this year. In addition, the Orange reached its first Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament final. Prior to the team's postseason run, the club won nine straight conference games, setting a new program record.

Syracuse danced its way to the program's first Sweet 16 appearance with a 76-59 victory against Albany on March 20 in the Carrier Dome. Syracuse will face No. 3/2 South Carolina on Friday, March 25 in Sioux Falls, S.D.

It was another record-breaking day in a historic season for Syracuse. The Orange set a new program record with their 27th victory of the season. The senior class earned their 96th win, matching the school record. A crowd of 3,842 people also were in attendance, which was the third-best mark in program history.

The Orange trailed early, 11-9, but redshirt senior guard Maggie Morrison drained back to back triples, giving them the lead. Syracuse would not trail again in the game, extending their lead to as much as 18 points.

Redshirt junior guard Brittney Sykes led the Orange with 24 points on the day, tying the program's NCAA Tournament record. Peterson notched 22 points, her second 20-point game of the tournament. Junior center Bria Day grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds for Syracuse.
