ORANGE IN THE ACC CHAMPIONSHIP
- After winning the ACC Cross Country Championship and ACC Indoor Championship, the Syracuse men's track and field team is looking for a sweep.
- No team in conference history has swept all-three seasons.
- The event will run from Friday to Sunday at the Mike Long track – the same venue as last season – in Tallahassee, Florida.
LAST YEAR AT THE ACC CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Margo Malone turned in a dominant 10k performance to run away with the women's 10,000-meter title. Teammate Shaylyn Tuite was right behind in fifth.
- Justyn Knight came away with the championship's most memorable moment, winning the 1500-meters with a time of 3:47.85, but doing so with just one shoe after it was kicked off in the final.
- Dan Lennon and Colin Bennie finished second and third respectively in the 10,000 meters and Freddie Crittenden III also saw the podium, taking third in the 110-meter hurdles.
- Shaina Harrison was another podium finisher, taking second in the 100-meters.
RANKING THE ORANGE
- The Syracuse men enter the meet ranked 12th, which is the third-best ranking among ACC teams, sitting behind just Virginia Tech (10) and Virginia (11).
- The ranking is the best mark in program history.
- The women are not ranked, but peaked as high as 44 earlier this season. Syracuse has not been higher than 44th since 2012 when they peaked at 42nd.
 INDIVIDUAL RANKS
- Justyn Knight enters as the highest-ranked male performer for the Orange. He has the nation's third-fastest time in the 5000-meters (13:27.23), just over two seconds off the Olympic standard, and the fourth-fastest time in the 1500-meters (3:39.23).
- Freddie Crittenden III is also one of the top-five performers in the nation in his event, ranked fifth in the 110-meter hurdles (13.48).
- Colin Bennie sits right outside the top-five in the 10k, owning the nation's sixth-best time in the event at 28:52.72.
- Adam Palamar also owns a top-10 time in the 1500-meters, with a mark of 3:40.49.
- Shaylyn Tuite is the top-ranked woman for the Orange, with the 11th-fastest time in the nation in the 10k.
Action is scheduled to get underway on Friday.
