SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse softball team wraps up regular-season play this Tuesday, traveling down to Binghamton for a single-game matchup set for 5 p.m. Â

The Orange look to pick up a final win in the regular season after falling to Boston College this weekend at home in a three-game series.

PREVIEWING BINGHAMTON (30-13, 12-3 AMERICA EAST)
The Bearcats and the Orange face off for the 21st time overall, with 'Cuse seeking its third consecutive win in the series they hold an 18-2 advantage in. The programs last met in 2014, where the Orange swept the Bearcats in doubleheader action 8-0 and 9-6 at home.

Coming off of an NCAA Tournament appearance last season, the Bearcats currently hold the No. 1 spot in the America East standings with a 12-3 showing in the conference. Sophomore Jessica Rutherford leads the 2016 Bearcats in batting average (.426), hits (60) and RBIs (39). Sophomore Sarah Miller posts a 14-6 record in the circle and a 3.39 ERA while accumulating 80 strikeouts on the season.

Syracuse looks to bounce back from an ACC series loss against Boston College this past weekend. The Eagles' hot hitting streak over the weekend resulted in a 12-2 run-rule win in the first game and two subsequent shutout wins over the Orange, 5-0, 6-0.

Senior Corinne Ozanne recorded her 50th career home run in the first game, sending a two-run homer over the right field fence in the bottom of the third to draw in the Orange's two runs for the game. In the series finale, sophomore Maddi Doane diminished Boston College's hopes of a no-hitter thanks to a base hit to center field in the bottom of the seventh inning.

- The Orange rank fourth in the ACC in triples (8), with sophomore Sammy Fernandez leading the pack tied for first in the conference in triples (4).
