SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 6/8 Syracuse (2-0) continues its homestand on Thursday, Sept. 1 when it welcomes Central New York foe rv/-- Colgate (2-0) to the SU Soccer Stadium. Match time is set for 7 p.m. Admission is free of charge.

BALANCED SCORINGÂ Â Â Â Â
Eight different players recorded either a goal or an assist in the first two matches of the season. Sophomore Jonathan Hagman and freshman Johannes Pieles each recorded his first career point when Hagman assisted on Pieles' first goal against Loyola Marymount.

ORANGE DEBUTS
Seven different players made their Syracuse debuts in the opening weekend of the season. Senior Sergio Camargo, a transfer from Coastal Carolina, and freshmen Mo Adams, Johannes Pieles and John Austin Ricks were in the starting lineup in the season opener against Massachusetts.

Freshmen Hampus Bergdahl and Jan Breitenmoser also made their collegiate debuts against the Minutemen. In addition, junior Kalifa Sylla, a transfer from Monroe Community College, saw action for the first time against Loyola Marymount.

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
Colgate went undefeated in the Central New York Classic last weekend. The Raiders have not allowed a goal this season, posting shutouts against Loyola Marymount and Massachusetts. Ethan Kutler has recorded a goal in each of the first two matches and leads the squad with four points. Goalkeeper Ricky Brown has played every minute in goal for the Raiders and has four saves.

THE SERIES
Thursday's match will be the 57th all-time meeting between Syracuse and Colgate in a series that dates back to 1920. The Raiders hold a slight 29-27-10 lead in the series. The Orange defeated Colgate, 2-0, in Hamilton last season to extend Syracuse's winning streak to three against the Raiders. Chris Nanco and Ben Polk each recorded a goal in the victory.
