FOR STARTERS
- Syracuse continued its success in the Carrier Dome with its 81-76 come-from-behind victory against Wake Forest on Tuesday. It marked the first time the Orange had overcome a halftime deficit this season. The win improved Syracuse's record to 12-9 overall, including a 12-2 mark on its home court, and 4-4 in the ACC.
- Saturday's game is the Orange's third against a top-15 opponent in their last four contests. The Orange lost at #9/9 North Carolina on January 16 and at #15/15 Notre Dame on January 21.
- Graduate student Andrew White III recorded his 1000th career point in Syracuse's win against Wake Forest. The total includes his play at Kansas and Nebraska prior to joining the Orange. He posted a game-high five 3-pointers and was 10-of-10 from the free throw line for 27 points.
SCOUTING THE SEMINOLES
- Florida State was one of five teams ranked in the nation's top 10 that lost this week as Georgia Tech defeated the Seminoles, 78-56, on Wednesday. Florida State is now 18-3 overall, 6-2 in the ACC.
- Sophomore guard Dwayne Bacon (17.1 ppg.) and freshman forward Jonathan Isaac (12.9 ppg., 7.8 rpg.) have paced one of the most productive offense in the Division I ranks. Florida State is averaging 84.2 points an outing. Bacon has scored in double digits in 30 straight contests.
- Head coach Leonard Hamilton is in his 16th season with the Seminoles. He brings a 273-190 record at FSU into Saturday's encounter.
THE SERIES
Syracuse has a 6-2 advantage in the all-time series with Florida State. The clubs split last year's two meetings with each squad winning at home.
