BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Syracuse goes for its third straight victory and its first on the road in ACC play when it takes on No. rv/rv Virginia Tech on Tuesday, Jan. 10. Tipoff in Blacksburg is set for 7 p.m.

FOR STARTERS
- Syracuse (10-6, 2-1) has made 47.8 percent (22-of-46) of its 3-point attempts in its last two games. The Orange converted 14 of their 27 attempts from behind the arc against Pittsburgh, which is just one shy of their single-game high this season.
- Senior Tyler Roberson blocked a career-high six shots in the win against the Panthers. It's the most blocks for a member of the Orange this season. Roberson also had 10 boards against Pittsburgh, marking the second time in the last three games that he has reached double figures in rebounds.
- Syracuse leads the ACC in steals, averaging 8.6 per game. Individually, Frank Howard and John Gillon rank among the top 10 in steals in the league.
HOUNDING THE HOKIES
- Virginia Tech enters Tuesday's game with a 12-3 overall record and a 1-2 mark in ACC play. The Hokies upset No. 5 Duke in their ACC opener, but have lost their last two games on the road at NC State and Florida State. Virginia Tech is 9-0 at home this season.
- The Hokies feature a balanced scoring attack as five players average double digits in scoring. Zach LeDay leads the way, averaging 16.3 points per game. Ahmed Hill, who adds 15.3 points per game, is one of the best 3-point shooters in the ACC. He ranks second in the league in 3-point field goals made (2.9 per game) and is third in 3-point field goal percentage (.453). Chris Clark is Virginia Tech's leading rebounder, pulling down 7.7 per contest.
- Buzz Williams is in his third season at the helm of the Virginia Tech program. Last season, he guided the Hokies to a 20-win season and the second round of the NIT.
THE SERIES
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Virginia Tech, 8-2. The Orange have won five in a row against the Hokies, including all four meetings since Syracuse joined the ACC.
