SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's soccer team (6-5-2) returns home for the first time in three games to host the Miami Hurricanes on Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. The game was rescheduled from its original date due to the aftereffects of Hurricane Irma. United Way will be in attendance to raise funds for hurricane relief efforts.

Last Time Out
Syracuse could not overcome a high-powered Notre Dame offense as the Fighting Irish outlasted the Orange, 2-0, on Sunday. Courtney Brosnan posted her second outing of the season with at least 10 saves, making 10 stops against the Irish. Alana O'Neill led the Orange with two shots in the game and sits second in the team this season with 22 total shots.
Â
300-Mark
Senior keeper Courtney Brosnan broke the 300 saves plane with her 300 career save against Pittsburgh on Thursday. The senior recorded 10 saves against Notre Dame to push her into second place in program history with 312 career saves.
Â
She trails only Eliza Bennett-Hattan ('09) in career saves as Hattan made 331 stops during her four years with the Orange. With five games left, Brosnan would need at least four saves in each game to move her into first place in school history.
Â
Scouting the Hurricanes
The Orange hold a 5-3-1 all-time record against the Hurricanes and have yet to drop a game when at SU Soccer Stadium. The Hurricanes are 0-5 in conference play this season and 4-7 on the season. Senior Ronnie Johnson paces Miami with four goals and an assist this season (nine points).
Â
Up Next…
The Orange hit the road once again to take on the NC State Wolfpack on Oct. 14. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. and the game will be aired on ACC Network Extra.
