All fans are invited to bring dogs for doggy night
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's soccer team will host Syracuse University Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night on Thursday, October 19th when they face No. 12 Virginia at 7 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium. The program looks forward to welcoming the members of the University community who support the student-athletes with a halftime celebration.
In addition, the Orange invite fans and their dogs to enjoy the game as part of Doggy Night. Throughout the game, several contests will be held and prizes will be awarded for the biggest dog, the smallest dog and the dog with the best collar. Dogs must enter through the Main Gate and always be on a leash. Suggested sections for fans to sit with their dogs will be marked. Relief stations will be located outside the Main Gate of the Soccer Stadium.
Dog owners must bring documentation from their veterinarian showing vaccination records, as well as license and registration.
Syracuse University venue guidelines do not permit dogs for events outside of 'Doggy Days," with the exception of registered service animals.
The Orange and the Cavaliers meet for just the fourth time in program history, with Virginia holding the 3-0 edge. This is the first contest between the two schools at SU Soccer Stadium as all three previous outings have occurred in Charlottesville. The Orange are coming off a 3-0 loss to NC State while Virginia took Clemson to a 0-0 double overtime tie last time out.
