Back to Back to Back to Back to Back to Back
- The Syracuse men's cross country team enters the meet looking for its fifth consecutive ACC Championship and sixth-straight conference title dating back to its final season in the BIG EAST.
- A win would mark the eighth conference title in the last-nine seasons under head coach Chris Fox.
- Finishing third in the team's inaugural season in the league in 2013 for its best finish to date, the women's team is coming off a fifth place finish in 2016.
Â
 Historic Levels of Success
- The Syracuse men could become just the third men's team to win five straight ACC Championships in the history of the conference this weekend.
- Only Maryland's six from 1964-69 and NC State's five from 1995-1999 would match or better the Orange's mark.
- A win would also mean Syracuse moves into sole possession of sixth (fifth among current members) for the most TOTAL men's ACC Cross Country Championships, despite only being in the conference for five seasons. NC State (15), Maryland (10), North Carolina (9), Clemson (7) and Duke (7) would be the lone schools with better tallies all time.

Knight's Title Defense
- Senior standout Justyn Knight is looking for his second-straight ACC title after claiming his first individual cross country championship at the meet last season.
- Including his staggering six ACC track and field championships and one cross country title, a win on Friday would put him on pace to finish his collegiate career in double-digits for conference championships.
- Knight also hasn't lost a non-NCAA Championship cross country race since the 2015 ACC Championship where he took second to Virginia Tech's Thomas Curtin. He won the 2015 NCAA Northeast Regional, 2016 Panorama Farms Invitational, 2016 Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, 2016 ACC Championship, 2016 NCAA Northeast Regional and 2017 Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational heading into this meet in succession.
Â
 Ranking the Orange
- The Syracuse men enter the NCAA Championship ranked at No. 4 in the USTFCCCA's poll.
- Syracuse hasn't been ranked outside of the top-six since the 2013 season.
- 'Cuse has also been ranked No. 1 in each of the previous two seasons.
Â
Fond Course Memories
- This will be the Orange's first race on the E.P. Tom Sawyer Course since the team won the 2015 NCAA Championship there.
- While there'll be one 2k loop less than there will be at next month's NCAA Championship, it'll provide a good preview for the NCAA Championship in November as well.
- Colin Bennie, Philo Germano and Justyn Knight are the three members of the Orange remaining from the Orange's seven-man roster at the 2015 NCAA Championship.
