Orange Look to Extend Win Streak at Pitt

PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Syracuse goes for its sixth straight victory when it faces Pittsburgh on Saturday, Feb. 11. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center.

FOR STARTERS
- Syracuse defeated Clemson on Tuesday, Feb. 7 with a 3-point buzzer-beater by freshman Tyus Battle. The Orange are 16-9 overall and now rank fourth in the ACC with an 8-4 record in conference play.
- Graduate student Andrew White III had his fifth 20-point outing in a row with 23 against the Tigers. White III now ranks ninth in the ACC in scoring, averaging 17.6 points per game, and first in 3-point field goals per game with 3.3.
- Three other members of the Orange scored in double digits on Tuesday, including Tyler Lydon (17), Taurean Thompson (14), and John Gillon (13).
PANTHER PREY
- Pittsburgh defeated Boston College, 83-72, on Tuesday to snap an eight-game losing streak that started with its loss to the Orange in the Carrier Dome on Jan. 7. The Panthers enter Saturday's game with a 13-11 overall mark and a 2-9 record in ACC action. Pittsburgh is 9-4 on its home court this season.
- The Panthers feature the top two scorers in the ACC in Michael Young and Jamel Artis. Young leads the league, averaging 20.8 point per game, while Artis is right behind with a 20.0 per game average. Â
- Kevin Stallings is in his first year at the helm of the Pittsburgh basketball program. He was previously the head coach at Vanderbilt for 17 season, where he led the Commodores to a record of 455-283.
SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Pittsburgh, 66-44. The Orange defeated the Panthers earlier this season, 77-66, at the Carrier Dome to snap a five-game losing streak against Pittsburgh.
