Sykes, White Named Scholar-Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Brittney Sykes of the women's basketball team and Andrew White III of the men's basketball team are this week's Syracuse Scholar-Athletes of the Week.
Sykes is working towards a Master's degree in instructional design, development, and evaluation in the School of Education.
The Newark, N.J. native currently ranks fourth in school history with 1,737 points scored in her collegiate career. She has scored in double digits in all but one game this season, averaging 19.4 points per game. Sykes also has six double-doubles this season.
Sykes and the women's basketball team will host Wake Forest on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in the Carrier Dome for Senior Day. Sykes will be honored alongside Alexis Peterson, Isabella Slim, and Briana and Bria Day. The Orange set a new crowd attendance record against Notre Dame on Sunday, Feb. 19 with 11,021 fans at the Dome. Tickets for that game can be purchased online or by phone at 1-888-DOME-TIX.
White is enrolled in the instructional design, development and evaluation master's program as well.
