TODAY'S GAME
- Syracuse will look for a 3-0 start to the season in the third of four-staright home games to start the 2017 season.
- The game will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel and ACC Network Extra, with Michael Tricarico and Dale Drypolcher calling the action.. Fans can also listen to Matt Park and Kyle Fetterly call the action on TK99/105 as part of the Syracuse Radio Network. WAER will also broadcast the game on the radio as well.
THE ARMY WEST POINT SERIESÂ
- A series featuring two of the top five most winningest programs in Division I lacrosse, Syracuse and Army West Point set to face off for the 64th time, with the Black Knights controlling the all-time series, 39-24.
- Of the 93 programs that Syracuse has faced in its program history, Army West Point is one of only 11 that holds a winning record against the Orange.
- Syracuse has won five in a row, eight of the last nine, and 19 of the last 21 against Army West Point.
- In last year's matchup, the Orange fended off comeback efforts from the Black Knights to hold onto a 9-8 victory, in large part thanks to goals from Sergio Salcido (2), Nate Solomon, and Jordan Evans.
VERSUS THE PATRIOT LEAGUE
- Syracuse is 108-75-2 all-time against the nine current members of the Patriot League.Â
- The Orange holds winning records against Bucknell (8-0), Lehigh (3-2), Colgate (46-11-1) and Loyola Maryland (19-5) and losing records against Army West Point (24-39) and Navy (8-18-1).
- Syracuse has never faced Boston, Lafayette, or Holy Cross.
NON-CONFERENCE SUCCESS
- Syracuse finished 8-3 in 2016 versus nonconference opponents.Â
- Since joining the ACC, the Orange is 27-5 versus non-conference opponents, including a 25-2 mark in regular-season, non-league contests.
- This season, the Orange is 2-0 against non-conference opponents, having defeated Siena and Albany in the first two games.

- Syracuse has won 43-straight games when holding opponents to under 10 goals in a game.
- In 2016, the Orange held 11 opponents under that mark.

- The last time Syracuse failed to win when keeping its foe to single digits was on April 28, 2012, when the Orange fell at Notre Dame, 8-6.
RISING IN THE RANKS
- With six ground balls against Albany, Ben Williams passed Casey Powell and Jarett Park to move into second place in Syracuse program history.
- Williams' 280 career ground balls trail only Joel White's 283 in the Orange record book.
- Saturday's game will be the just the 37th in Williams' career at SU, making the mark even more impressive.

 - Syracuse enters the weekend No. 6 in both the Nike/USILA Coaches and Inside Lacrosse Maverik Media poll.
-Â Syracuse has appeared in 55 consecutive USILA polls. The last time the Orange were not ranked was April 30, 2012.
- Overall, Syracuse has been ranked in 195 of the 198 USILA polls that have been released since 2000 and 413 of the 442 polls since the USILA began its national rankings in 1973.
- The Orange appeared in 272 straight USILA polls from April 10, 1978 to April 30, 2007.
COMEBACK KIDS
- Last week's comeback vs. Albany was the first time since 2013 that the Orange trailed by five or more goals and came back to win.
- The Orange fell behind 6-1 with 10:40 to play in the second quarter last week. The team countered with a six-goal run to take a 7-6 lead with 2:01 to play in the third.
- The last time the feat was accomplished (4/13/13), No. 8 Syracuse trailed Rutgers 10-5 with 6:57 to play in the third. The Orange then went on a 5-0 run to tie the game at 10 before eventually winning 12-11 with 0:10 left.
