Orange Back in Action Friday

The Syracuse men's and women's track and field teams will return to action after an off weekend at three separate meets.
Action begins on Friday at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Atlanta for sprinters and the Virginia Challenge and Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton for distance runners.
The Virginia Challenge:
- This meet will serve as the outdoor debuts of junior phenom Justyn Knight and All-American Adam Palamar in the 1500-meters.
- Paige Stoner leads the way in the women's 5000-meters, where she'll be joined by freshman Madeleine Davison. 2016 All-Americans Colin Bennie and Philo Germano will race in the men's event.
- The Malone sisters (Shannon and Mary) will compete for the first time since the San Francisco Distance Carnival in the 10,000-meters. Kevin James will race in the men's event.
- Sydney Leiher will take on the 3000-meter steeplechase for the women with Aiden Tooker racing in the steeplechase for the men.
- Paul Lovell will represent SU in the 800-meters.
At the Yellow Jacket Invitational
- Tia Thevenin will race in the 100-meter hurdles for the first time since returning from an injury that sidelined her for the ACC Indoor Championships. She'll race with teammates Danielle Delgado and Aviana Goode.
- Freddie Crittenden III will take on his first meet since posting the world's third-fastest time in the 110-meter hurdles two weeks ago. Chevis Armstead will also run in this event.
- Kadejhia Sellers will race in the 400 for the first time since the Florida Relays, where she'll be joined by Cheyenne Trigg. Pascal Bastien will represent the Orange men in the 400.
- Aviana Goode, Bastien and Randall Johnson will jump in the long jump. Goode and Johnson will also take on the high jump, with Regine Hunter and Ebhani Blackwood set to compete in the triple jump.
- In the 100-meter dash, Dasia Pressley, Justice Richardson and Victoria Parker will represent the women, while Winston Lee and Kashif Miller will represent the men.
- Richardson, Sellers, Parker and Pressley will conclude the meet in the 4x100 for the women, while the men will put together a team of Crittenden, Miller, Bastien and Lee.
- Sellers, Thevenin, Blackwood and Trigg will also race in the 4x400.
At the Larry Ellis Invitational
- Robbie Hall and Andy Paladino will race in the 1500-meters.
- Griff Molino will take on the 5k representing SU, while Joe Dragon and Dominic Hockenbury race unattached.
