Senior leaving her mark on the field
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Sydney O'Hara is leaving her mark on the Syracuse softball program, both on the field and in the record books. With a historical four home run performance at North Carolina State, O'Hara began what would be a record-setting senior season.
The pitcher and first baseman joined an elite group of just four NCAA softball athletes that have each tied the national record with four yard balls in one game. O'Hara has made a name for herself both in the batter's box and on the flip side in the pitcher's mound and stands as one of softball's most versatile players.
Since the historical night in Raleigh, North Carolina, O'Hara has established herself as a force to be reckoned with, becoming a regular top-10 name within multiple NCAA individual statistical categories.
With just seven regular season games and hopes of an ACC tournament bid, she looks to lead the Orange to a strong finish of the 2017 season.
