Track Set for Three Weekend Meets

The Syracuse track and field teams will split up to attend three events this weekend: The Penn Relays on Friday, The Virginia Grand Prix in Charlottesville, VA on Saturday and the Big Red Invitational in Ithaca, N.Y on Sunday.

Recent results:
- Kadejhia Sellers broke the school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.88 at the Yellow Jacket Invitational last weekend.
- The women's 4x100-meter relay team of Justice Richardson, Sellers, Victoria Parker and Dasia Pressley also set a school record in a time of 45.23 seconds, before the 4x400-meter team of Sellers, Tia Thevenin, Ebhani Blackwood and Delgado finished third in 3:45.40.
- At the Yellow Jacket Invitational, Danielle Delgado set a new personal best in the 100-meter hurdles, and then went on to finish 9th in the 400-meter event with a time of 1:01.17.
- The men's 4x100-meter relay team, which included Freddie Crittenden III, Kashif Miller, Pascal Bastien and Winston Lee, took 2nd place with a time of 40.87.
- Justyn Knight won the 1500-meter event at the Virginia Challenge, crossing the finish line in 3:42.11, surpassing former NCAA Champion Henry Wynne.Previewing the

- Freddie Crittenden III will take on the 110-meter hurdles and the Orange will have a set of women compete in the 4x100-meter relay this weekend at the Penn Relays.
Previewing the Virginia Grand Prix
- This is the second week in a row that 'Cuse will head to Charlottesville. Last weekend, Justyn Knight won the 1500-meters.
- Paige Stoner, Adam Visokay and Aidan Tooker turned in top-five performances in the men's and women's 3000-meter steeplechase.
Last year at the Big Red Challenge
Men's team
- Three Syracuse runners from the men's team finished in the top-20 of the 400m event. LaZyrick Middlebrooks ran to a 7th place finish with a time of 50.53. Aaron Fuller placed 17th, crossing the finish line at 52.75. With a time of 53.11, Kokeith Perry took 20th place.
- The Orange got a win in the 800m after Paul Lovell completed the race in 1:52.51. Sam Somera took 14th place in this event with a time of 2:05.65.
- Nick Ryan and TJ Hornberger turned in strong performances for the men's team in the 1500m event, taking 2nd and 3rd place. Ryan finished the race in 3:55.51 while Hornberger finished after him in 4:03.32.
- The Orange had three runners finish in the top-5 of the 500m. Kevyn Hoyos came in 1st place, crossing the finish line at 14:31.41. Kevin James finished shortly after, in 14:47.86. Earning 5th place, Simon Smith completed the run in 15:04.54.
 - The men's team saw great results in the High Jump event, with Jubari Butler marking 2.00m and Randall Johnson marking 1.90m.
- Pascal Bastien earned 6th place in the Long Jump for the Orange with a mark of 6.85.Â
Women's team
- The 1500m event featured six women from the Syracuse team, with all 6 finishing in the top-10. Paige Stoner won the event for the Orange with a time of 4:37.22. A few seconds later came Maura Linde and Bridget Twomey, earning 2nd and 3rd place. Placing 6th was Rebecca Skodis with a time of 4:48.21. Next was Chelsie Pennello, who earned 7th place and completed the race just .05 seconds after Skodis. Mary Malone finished the race in 4:49.58, placing 9th.
The Orange did not attend the Virginia Grand Prix last season.
