NCAA Tournament Action Starts Friday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament gets underway on Friday, May 12. Syracuse will host first-round action at 4 p.m. when Canisius takes on Boston College at the SU Soccer Stadium. The winner of that game advances to the second round where it will face the No. 6 seed Orange on Sunday, May 14 at 3 p.m.
Tickets for each game are $8 for adults and $5 for youth age 18 and under and senior citizens. Parking at the SU Soccer Stadium is free of charge.
Boston College (13-6) earned an at-large bid to the tournament, while Canisius (15-4) earned an automatic bid after winning the MAAC Championship last Sunday. Syracuse also earned an at-large bid after posting a 15-6 record this season. The Orange have earned a first-round bye each year since the field expanded to 26 teams.
Syracuse has faced both Boston College and Canisius this season. The Orange hosted the Eagles in their season opener on February 11. Junior Riley Donahue tied her career high with seven points to lead Syracuse to an 18-8 victory. Canisius visited the Carrier Dome on February 18. Twelve different players scored at least one goal for the Orange as they posted an 18-6 victory.
