
Donahue, Wallon Earn IWLCA All-America Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse junior Riley Donahue and sophomore Natalie Wallon have been selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-America team. Donahue was voted to the All-America Second Team, while Wallon was a third-team selection.

Donahue led the team in scoring and tied her career high with 68 points. She also led the squad in goals (42) and assists (26). Donahue tied her career high with seven points in the season opener against Boston College and recorded four or more points in a game nine times in 2017. She was selected to the All-Northeast Region First Team and All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Second Team. In addition, Donahue was voted to the ACC All-Tournament Team.

Wallon recorded career highs in every statistical category this season. She led the team in caused turnovers (22), ranked second in draw controls (27) and was third in ground balls (39). Wallon tied for third on the team in goals (29) and finished the year with 31 points. She scored two or more goals in a game nine times. Wallon earned a spot on the All-Northeast Region First Team as well as the All-ACC Second Team. She also earned a spot on the ACC All-Tournament Team.

Syracuse posted a 15-7 record in 2017. The Orange finished second in the ACC regular-season standings and advanced to the championship game of the ACC Tournament for the fourth consecutive year. Syracuse earned the No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
