SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's soccer team (3-1-1) continues its home stand against Fairfield (2-2-0) on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Orange are coming off a win over Cornell and look to continue to build momentum as they edge closer to ACC play.

Last Time Out
Syracuse took a 3-0 victory over Cornell on Thursday for the team's third win of the season. Freshman Kate Donovan scored her first and second collegiate goals against the Big Red with assists from Opal Curless and Carolin Bader. Sophomore defender Taylor Bennett also notched the Orange's first penalty kick goal of the season in the 22nd minute of the game.

A Team Effort
Twenty-one of the 23 players on Syracuse's roster saw action on the pitch on Thursday against Cornell. Fifteen different players have recorded a shot this season, led by sophomore Sydney Brackett who has tabbed 13 this year. The offensive production for the Orange this season has come from six different goal scorers with assists from seven different Syracuse players.

First Half Feeling
Syracuse has had great success in the first half of games with seven of its 10 goals this season coming in the first half of contests. The Orange have recorded more shots in the first half of games than in the second as well. When leading at the half, 'Cuse is 2-0-0 this season.

Scouting the Stags
Fairfield holds a 2-2-0 record on the season, most recently coming off a 2-1 overtime win at Binghamton. Freshman Alex Madden paces the Stags with two goals on the year, including the game winning goal against Binghamton on Friday. The Orange and the Stags have met twice before in program history with both occurrences taking place in Fairfield. Syracuse holds a 1-0-1 advantage in all-time meetings between the schools.

Up Next…
The Orange take on in-state rival Colgate in the third game of the home stand on Thursday night at SU Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and admission to all home games is free.
