SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's soccer team (5-2-1) opens conference play against ACC foe No. Wake Forest (7-1-1) on Thursday night at SU Soccer Stadium. The Orange are coming off a 10-day rest period after the repercussions of Hurricane Irma postponed the previously scheduled contest between Syracuse and Miami.

The lone goal of the game was an own goal by the Crimson, the result of applied pressure in front of the net by freshman Kate Hostage. 'Cuse took a season-high nine corner kicks against Harvard, seven of them coming in the first half.
Atlantic Coast Conference
The Orange compete in one of the toughest soccer conference in the nation in the ACC. Syracuse finished the 2016 campaign posting a 1-7-2 record in conference play with both ties coming against ranked opponents (No. 2 Florida State and No. 20 Notre Dame).
Callin' the Shots
The Orange pinned 13 shots on the Crimson last time out, marking the sixth time this season that Syracuse has posted 10 or more shots in a game. 'Cuse is undefeated when recording 10 or more shots, moving to 5-0-1 on the year when shooting in double digits.
Scouting the Demon Deacons
Wake Forest is 7-1-1 on the season, recently coming off a 2-0 victory over Pittsburgh. Junior Bayley Feist paces Wake Forest with four goals and an assist (nine points) on the year, while senior Lindsay Preston anchors the Demon Deacons in goal, allowing just five goals on 30 shots faced this season.
