Orange Go on the Road to Face Pitt Friday

PITTSBURGH – No. 21/19 Syracuse is back on the road to take on Pittsburgh on Friday, Sept. 29. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
The Orange are coming off a 2-0 victory at Colgate on Monday, which improved their overall record to 5-3-2. The Panthers also posted a non-conference victory this week, defeating West Virginia, 7-0. Both squads are looking for their first ACC win of the season. Syracuse is 0-2-1 in league play, while the Panthers are 0-3.

DELHOMELLE ENJOYS CAREER DAY
Junior Hugo Delhommelle led Syracuse to a 2-0 win at Colgate on Monday, which snapped the Orange's three-game losing streak.
He had a goal and an assist for three points against the Raiders. Delhommelle scored Syracuse's first goal off a free kick from 20 yards out. He then assisted on the Orange's second goal when he served the ball into the box on a corner kick where Johannes Pieles headed it into the back of the net.
Delhommelle leads the team in assists with five and is second in scoring with nine points.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Edward Kizza is Pittsburgh's leading scorer, despite playing in only six matches this season. He has scored a team-high three goals to go along with one assist for seven points. Overall, eight different players have recorded at least one goal this season.
Mikal Outcalt has started all nine games for Pittsburgh. He has a 0.97 goals-against average and a .805 save percentage. Outcalt has recorded two shutouts.
THE SERIES
Syracuse and Pittsburgh will meet for the 22nd time on Friday. The Orange hold a slight 9-8-4 lead in the all-time series.
Last season, the squads met at the SU Soccer Stadium in the first round of the ACC Tournament. Chris Nanco and Jonathan Hagman (Enebyberg, Sweden) scored two goals each and Hendrick Hilpert recorded two saves to lead Syracuse to a 4-0 victory.

Syracuse will play two home matches next week, starting with Akron on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. Admission and parking at the SU Soccer Stadium are free of charge.
