Upstate Challenge Awaits on Saturday

The Syracuse track and field teams will continue their 2018 slate on Saturday by heading south to Cornell for the Upstate Challenge.
JUMPS PREVIEW
- The day will kickoff at 1 p.m. with Pascal Bastein taking on the men's long jump.
- Randall Johnson will then compete in the high jump at 2 p.m.
SPRINTS PREVIEW
- The 60-meter hurdles will once again be the headline event for the Orange on Saturday, with the men's and women's rosters having the deepest fields taking the start line.
- Angelo Goss enters the meet having posted the nation's second-fastest time on opening weekend, tied with 2017 NCAA Champion Grant Holloway (7.69 seconds) and only trailing Chad Zallow (7.65 seconds).
- Goss will be joined in the event by Richard Floyd, David Gilstrap, Chevis Armstead, Jamil Adams, Kelvin Almonte, Andrew Aguilera and Matt Moore. Danielle Delgado and Avianna Goode will compete in the women's event.
- Eunice Boateng, Imani Clark, Justice Richardson and Victoria Parker will race in the 60-meter dash and Chuka Soronnadi and Kashif Miller will take on the men's event.
- Jaline Racine and Hannah Loder will compete in the 400-meters to round out the sprints.
DISTANCE PREVIEW
- Kelsey Potts, Olivia Elston, Kayli Jones and Ryley Higgins will make their season debut in the mile, where they'll be joined by Nathan Henderson, Andy Paladino, Griff Molino and Pierce Miller in the men's event.
- Noah Affolder, Philo Germano and Aidan Tooker will all compete for the first time since the cross country season in the men's 1000-meters. Sydney Leiher, Rachel Bonner and Alex Cooper will close out the day in the women's event.
Action gets underway at 1 p.m.
