LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Syracuse men's soccer team puts its three-game winning streak on the line when it faces No. 11/14 Louisville Friday, Oct. 12. Start time at the Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium is set for 7 p.m.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse looks to continue their three-game win streak against Louisville. The Orange have outscored opponents 7-1 in that win streak, including two shutouts against then No. 1 Wake Forest and Ohio State. Syracuse is now 6-4-1 and is No. 24 in the coaches poll and No. 7 in the NCAA RPI.

Junior Massimo Ferrin had a career night in Syracuse's last match as he contributed to every goal in Syracuse's 3-0 victory over Ohio State. He had two goals, one assisted by Ryan Raposo and the other by Nathaniel St. Louis. Ferrin had an assist of his own on a Raposo goal.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Louisville has a record of 7-2-2 including a 3-1-1 mark in conference play. The Cardinals were able to bounce back after a tough loss to then No. 15 Notre Dame in overtime and beat Georgia Southern, 1-0. Louisville is No. 11 in the coaches poll and ranks sixth in the RPI.

Leading the Cardinals is Cherif Dieye with four goals on the season Tate Schmitt leads the team in assists with five and points with eight. Will Meyer and Jake Gelnovatch have been in goal for the Cardinals. Meyer has three starts, including the last match against Georgia Southern. He has a goals-against average of 1.00 and a save percentage of .571. Gelnovatch has started in eight games this season with a goals-against average of 0.95 and a save percentage of .714.

THE SERIES
Louisville leads the all-time series with Syracuse, 9-2-2 with four matches going into overtime. Louisville visited the SU Soccer Stadium last season. John-Austin Ricks scored in the 11th minute off an assist from Hugo Delhommelle to give the Orange an early lead. However, the Cardinals scored two unanswered goals in the final 15 minutes of the first half and held on for the 2-1 victory.
