
No. 18 Orange and No. 20 Texas A&M Clash Wednesday in NYC Area

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse University's women's basketball team plays its second top-25 opponent in as many games on Wednesday night when the 18th-ranked Orange kick off 'Cuse in the City weekend. Syracuse is set to host No. 20 Texas A&M at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, N.Y. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra with Brian Higgins and Kim Adams on the call.
Courtside seats and the VIP experience are $75 a ticket are available now. Parking at the Westchester County Center is $10. General Admission tickets are $15 and on sale now.
Wednesday night's game kicks off 'Cuse in the City Week as the first of four Syracuse Athletics events scheduled for the Metropolitan New York Area in November. Following the women's basketball game on Nov. 14, the men's basketball team plays in the 2K Classic benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 15 and 16. The Orange football team concludes 'Cuse in the City Week on Nov. 17 against Notre Dame in Yankee Stadium.
Syracuse is 1-1 on the season following an 85-49 win over North Dakota in its season opener and a 75-73 road loss at No. 3 Oregon, last Saturday. The Orange are led by junior Tiana Mangakahia who is averaging 13.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. The Nancy Lieberman Award Candidate is averaging 29.5 minutes per game and is shooting 48 percent from the field.
Texas A&M is 2-0 on the early season with wins over Rice and Jacksonville. Wednesday's game is the first road game of the season for the Aggies who went 6-4 on the road and 26-10 overall a season ago. Texas A&M reached the NCAA Tournament and lost to eventual national champion Notre Dame, 90-84, in the Sweet Sixteen.
Wednesday is the third meeting between the two programs. The all-time series is tied 1-1 with Texas A&M winning the most recent matchup, 105-84, on Dec. 21 2016. When the two first met on Nov. 30, 2013, Syracuse defeated the Aggies, 78-63.
