SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- After earning a first-round bye in the NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament, Syracuse hosts Akron in second-round action on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. The match will take place at Beyer-Small '76 Field on the Colgate campus due to field conditions at the SU Soccer Stadium.

Tickets for Sunday's match are $6 for adults and $3 for seniors and youth ages 18 and under. The first 300 Syracuse University students to present a valid ID will receive free admission compliments of Syracuse head coach Ian McIntyre. Gates open at 1 p.m.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse earned the No. 16 seed in the NCAA Tournament and received a first-round bye. The Orange enter Sunday's match with a 7-6-4 record.

The Orange are making the program's sixth appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Syracuse has an all-time record of 7-3-2 in the national tournament. The Orange have advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament in each of their last three appearances (2015-17).

SCOUTING THE ZIPS
Akron defeated Rider, 3-1, in the NCAA Tournament first round to advance to Sunday's match. The win improved the Zips' record to 11-6-2 and extended their winning streak to five games.
David Egbo leads the Akron offense with 27 points on a team-best 12 goals and three assists. Marcel Zajac has 19 points on six goals and a team-high seven assists. Ben Lundt has played the majority of minutes in goal for Akron. He has a 1.14 goals-against average and a .697 save percentage.

THE SERIES
Sunday's match is the fourth all-time meeting between Syracuse and Akron and second this season. The Zips lead the all-time series, 2-1.
The Orange traveled to Akron earlier this season for an Oct. 1 match. Senior Jonathan Hagman recorded his first career hat trick to lead Syracuse to a 3-1 victory.

UP NEXT
The winner of Sunday's match between Syracuse and Akron will advance to the NCAA Tournament third round to face the winner of the No. 1 seed Wake Forest-Colgate game next weekend.
