GREENSBORO, N.C. – Led by freshman safety Andre Cisco, redshirt junior punter Sterling Hofrichter and redshirt freshman kicker Andre Szmyt, a total of 11 Syracuse players were named to the All-ACC Football Teams released by the conference office on Monday, Nov. 26.
Â
Overall, nine Syracuse players made first-, second- or third-team All-ACC, while two more received honorable mention plaudits. The Orange's nine selections to the first, second and third teams were the third-most in the conference behind Clemson (18) and Boston College (11). In addition, Syracuse's 11 honorees were the most for the program since joining the ACC in 2013.
Â
Cisco, Hofrichter and Szmyt each received first-team honors. The nation's leader in points (141) and field goals (28), Szmyt was the top vote-getter among specialists with 165 points.
Cisco has had a standout rookie campaign. He's tied for the FBS lead with seven interceptions and has 16 passes defended, the most ever for a Syracuse true freshman.
Hofrichter ranks second in the ACC in punting average (43.3) and leads the conference with 25 punts downed inside the 20-yard line. His selection marks the second time in his career he's been rewarded with All-ACC honors. Hofrichter was an honorable mention pick by the league's head coaches in 2016.
The Orange duo of Cisco and Szmyt were the only first-year players to make the 27-man first team, which also features five graduate students, six seniors, 10 juniors and three sophomores (Wake Forest sophomore Greg Dortch was named at two positions).
Â
Redshirt senior wide receiver Jamal Custis, junior defensive end Alton Robinson and senior linebacker Ryan Guthrie were named to the second team. Custis leads the Orange with 826 receiving yards and six TD catches.
Â
Defensively, Robinson's 17 tackles for loss are second in the ACC. He's tied for second in the league with 10 sacks, as well. Guthrie, Syracuse's leading tackler, ranks second in the conference with 101 stops, including 14.5 for a loss.
Â
Senior quarterback Eric Dungey, redshirt senior offensive lineman Koda Martin and junior slot receiver Sean Riley made the All-ACC Third Team. Dungey, who has a school-record 32 touchdowns responsible for this season, has thrown for 2,565 yards and 17 TDs and run for 732 yards and 15 scores. Martin has started every game at right tackle and leads the Orange in snaps played (1,027) and knockdown blocks (30.5).
Â
An all-purpose selection to the third team, Riley has a team-high 63 receptions for 733 yards and three touchdowns. He also has 262 yards and a touchdown as punt returner, and 309 yards as Syracuse primary kickoff return man.
Â
Senior left tackle Cody Conway and redshirt senior defensive tackle Chris Slayton were named honorable mention. Conway has 26.5 knockdowns in 1,025 snaps this season. Slayton, Syracuse's defensive captain, has 18 tackles, including 7.5 for a loss, and 3.5 sacks.

A voting panel of 46 media members and the league's 14 head coaches cast ballots for the 2018 All-ACC Football Teams, with three points awarded for each first-team vote, two points for each second-team vote and one point for each third-team selection.
