
Orange in the NFL - Week 9

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Two former members of the Syracuse football program took the field during Week 9 of the 2018 NFL season.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Cameron Lynch and Denver Broncos safety Shamarko Thomas each saw action on special teams for their respective franchises in Week 9 losses.
Offensive lineman Jamar McGloster, meanwhile, became the latest former Orange standout to land on an NFL team's practice squad. The Oakland Raiders signed McGloster on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Here's a quick recap of how Syracuse football alums fared in the ninth week of the season:
Steve Ishmael, WR, Indianapolis Colts
- Bye week. The Colts next play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 11 at home.
Justin Pugh, OL, Arizona Cardinals
- Started at right guard in Arizona's first six games before suffering a broken left hand, which has kept him out the past two games.
- Bye week. The Cardinals next play the Chiefs on Nov. 11 in Kansas City.

Chandler Jones, DE, Arizona Cardinals
- Tied for 13th in the league with 6.5 sacks and tied for fifth with three forced fumbles through eight games.
- Bye week. The Cardinals next play the Chiefs on Nov. 11 in Kansas City.
Cameron Lynch, LB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Played, but did not record any statistics in Tampa Bay's loss to Carolina on Nov. 4.
Zaire Franklin, LB, Indianapolis Colts
- Bye week. The Colts next play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 11 at home.
Shamarko Thomas, S, Denver Broncos
- Played, but did not record any statistics in Denver's 19-17 loss to Houston on Nov. 4.
Riley Dixon, P, New York Giants
- Bye week. The Giants next play the 49ers on Nov. 12 in San Francisco.

- The Jaguars are 3-5 this season.
