
Orange Ready to Compete at ITA National Fall Championships

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Senior Gabriela Knutson, junior Miranda Ramirez, sophomore Sofya Golubovskaya and freshman Sofya Treshcheva are set to represent the Syracuse tennis team at the 2018 ITA National Fall Championships in Surprise, Ariz., at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex this weekend. The competition begins Wednesday, Nov. 7 and concludes Sunday, Nov. 11.
ORANGE IN ACTION
Knutson is Syracuse's lone singles competitor after qualifying for the competition via an at-large bid. She plays Giulia Pairone of Michigan at 11 a.m. in Wednesday's opening round.
The duo of Golubovskaya and Treshcheva earned a bid to the championships' doubles draw by claiming the doubles crown at the ITA Regional Championship. They begin their title run against LSU's Eden Richardson and Jessica Golovin at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Knutson and Ramirez will also compete in the doubles draw, earning a bid as a wild card. The Orange duo play ACC foe North Carolina's Makenna Jones Cameron Morra at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
