DAYTON, OHIO – After being selected as one of the last four teams into the 2018 NCAA Tournament field, Syracuse (20-13) meets Arizona State (20-11) in a First Four matchup on Wednesday, Mar. 14 at 9:10 p.m. in UD Arena.

The game will be televised on TruTV. Fans can also listen to the game on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.

For Starters
- The Orange are returning to the NCAA Tournament following a one-year absence. Syracuse is making its 39th overall appearance in the tournament and the 33rd under head coach Jim Boeheim. The Orange have an all-time record of 65-38 (.631) in the tournament and won the national championship in 2003.

- Sophomore Tyus Battle is Syracuse's leading scoring, averaging 19.8 points per game. He has scored in double digits in 32-of-33 games this season. Battle is the nation's leader in minutes per game (38:52) and was selected to the All-ACC Second Team.

- Junior Frank Howard (15.0 ppg) and ACC All-Freshman Team selection Oshae Brissett (14.7 ppg) are also averaging double figures. Brissett is the team's top rebounder at 8.8 per contest.

- Battle, Howard, Brissett and junior Paschal Chukwu have started all 33 games for SU.

- The Orange rank eighth nationally in field goal percentage defense (.396) and blocked shot average (5.6).

- In his 42nd season as head coach at his alma mater, Boeheim ranks second in Division I wins.

- Syracuse is 1-1 in NCAA Tourney games at Dayton (2000-01).

- The Orange are 1-1 all-time against the Sun Devils, including a 78-67 triumph in the second round of the 2009 NCAA Tournament.

Scouting the Sun Devils
- Arizona State enters the NCAA Tournament having lost five of its last six contests. However, the Sun Devils beat Xavier and Kansas (one seeds) earlier this season. ASU averages 83.5 points per game.

- Tra Holder (18.4 ppg), Shannon Evans II (16.6 ppg), Kodi Justive (12.6 ppg) and Romello White (10.7 ppg) average double-digit scoring for Arizona State. Evans II has a team-high 109 assists and White grabs a team-best 7.2 boards per outing.

- Former Duke standout and Buffalo coach Bobby Hurley is in his third season at Arizona State. He owns a 46-46 record at ASU.

With a win, 11^th-seeded Syracuse will face sixth-seeded TCU in the first round on Friday, Mar. 16 at 9:40 p.m. on CBS.
