Outdoor Slate Kicks Off This Weekend

Track Heads South For Florida Relays
The outdoor season is in full swing this weekend, with the
The Orange are riding success from the Indoor Track and Field NCAA tournament last month. Justyn Knight captured his second NCAA title, and third overall title, after a first place finish in the indoor 5000m event. Other Orange successes included Paige Stoner's eighth place finish in the women's 5k finals [16:05.88], and Matt Moore's 10th place finish in the 60m hurdles [16:05.88].

Last year at the Stanford Invite:

Paige Stoner finished 10th in the women's 10000m event, with a time of 33:55:69. In the men's 10000m, Colin Bennie led the men with a 12th place finish [33:55.69], while Philo Germano [28:46.47] was good for a 21st place finish.
Madeleine Davidson ran a time of 16:37.94 in the Women's 5000m, which awarded her a solid sixth place finish, while Aidan Tooker took 8th place for the men with a time of 14:04.91.
Sydney Leiher placed sixth in her 3000m steeplechase race, crossing the finish line with a time of 14:04.91.

Previewing Stanford:

Philo Germano and Aidan Tooker will kick off competition for the Orange on Friday with the 5000m event for the men's team. Following them, Madeleine Davidson and Laura Dickinson will compete in the same event on the women's side.
Iliass Aouani, Colin Bennie, and Justyn Knight are slated to race in the 10k, an event Shannon Malone and Paige Stoner are scheduled to compete in for the women.
Sydney Leiher will be the Orange's lone contender in the Women's 3000-meter steeplechase.

Previewing Florida Relays:

Imani Clark, Justice Richardson, and Dasia Pressley will kick off Thursday's competition with the Women's 200m dash. Immediately following, Winston Lee and Kashif Miller will take to the start line for the men.
Also on Thursday, Alexis Harper and Cheyenne Trigg are two of 54 runners competing in the Women's 400m dash. On the Men's team, Jamil Adams and Chevis Armstead will race in the same event.
Kicking off competition on Friday, Danielle Delgado, Aviana Goode, and Tia Thevenin will race in the 100m Hurdles.
For the men, Kelvin Almonte, Armstead, Richard Floyd, David Gilstrap, and Matt Moore will run in the 110-meter hurdles.
On Saturday, Almonte, Floyd, Armstead, and Jamil Adams will compete for the Men's 4x110m shuttle hurdle relay.
For the women's team, Justice Richardson, Kadejhia Sellers, Imani Clark, and Eunice Boateng will compete in the 4x100m relay. Angelo Goss, Kashif Miller, Chris Tucker, and Winston Lee will compete in the same event for the men.

A new event for the Orange this year, some members of the squad will head to Raleigh for the Raleigh Relays at NC State.

Joe Dragon and Dom Hockenbury will compete in the 10k as well.
