Summer Softball Camp Dates Announced

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Head coach Mike Bosch and the Syracuse softball program will host four summer camps, announced Friday by the Syracuse coaching staff. All four camps are listed below and additional information and registration logistics can be found on boschsoftballcamps.com.
Orange Beginner Pitcher/Catcher Camp (Only 50 spots available)
Date/Time: July 16, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Cost: $125
Description: This camp is designed for pitchers and catchers who are in 4th-8th grade. Pitchers and catchers will learn fundamentals geared toward improving current and new pitches, speed, and accuracy. Pitchers will focus on the mechanics of the fastball, change up, curve, screw, and rise ball. Pitchers will be given strategies to incorporate into practice sessions. Catchers will learn the mechanics to improve receiving, framing, throwing, blocking, and bunt coverage.
Orange Day Camp (Only 50 spots available)
Date/Time: July 17-18, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Cost: $210
Description: Head Coach Mike Bosch, the Orange players and a staff of experienced college, high school and travel ball coaches will instruct participants of every skill level. All fundamentals of the game will be taught including hitting, bunting, infield and outfield play, base running, and game competition. Demonstrations, drills, and practice sessions are all included in the sessions as well as games. This camp is a 2-day camp geared toward all skill levels and all positions for rising 4th -8th graders. Campers are divided by age, and skill levels to ensure the appropriate learning environment and safety. The fee includes softball instruction, attention from a certified athletic trainer if needed, and a Nike Camp T-shirt. Lunch will NOT be included but we will have a supervised lunch break so please plan to pack a lunch for your child. This is one of our most popular camps for those just getting involved in the game to those with a few years of experience.
Orange Elite Pitcher/Catcher Camp (Only 50 spots available)
Date/Time: July 23, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Cost: $125
Description: Come get a day of training with our amazing staff of college coaches, elite private instructors and pitching Coach Miranda Kramer. Pitchers will learn the fundamentals of various pitches, and drills to take home that will help develop or improve your pitches, and overall mental and physical preparation for game situations. It is recommended that pitchers have a strong base and understanding of pitching mechanics prior to attending. Catchers will learn advanced techniques for blocking, throwing, framing, calling pitches and the mental side of the game. You will learn drills that will improve your game. Leave this camp with the confidence to lead your team from the mound and behind the plate.
