Orange Nation....
I pushed our staff this summer to create a way for me to connect with fans, alumni, donors, future Syracuse University students, and our current University community on a regular basis, and what you're reading is the inaugural post of my bi-weekly blog.
All of our fall sports have been training since early August and official competition started mid-August. In fact, last weekend our Orange teams went 7-0.
Happy scene in Kalamazoo on Friday night. Proud of our football team, coaches, and support staff. I really enjoyed meeting and talking to some of the parents on Friday -- Brad Culpepper, Cindy Dungey, Moe Neal Sr., Keith Whitner and Darlene Robinson. All are AWESOME!
Relive that magic here:
ON MY MIND:
Men's Soccer will kick off the weekend ahead with the opening of ACC play. Coach McIntyre's crew continue to #DaretoDream:

ON TO FALL
If you are local or visiting, please be sure to check the calendar so we can host you at one of our venues and give you a chance to root on the Orange.
Coach Bradley and the Field Hockey team are on the road at UVA on an ACC Network game Friday, but back on Coyne Sunday to host old rival UConn. Sunday's game is being broadcast on the ESPN app as well, but it will be a great weather day to see a premiere program in person.
Coach Yelin with Volleyball has lead his team to a 2-0 mark thus far, and have three matches on the road at the Marquette Tournament.
THE DOME
My dad is a Syracuse alum and took me to Archbold Stadium as a young boy. Magical. When I came in the Fall of '76 to start my own Syracuse journey, I was at every game. When we played Miami of Ohio to open the Dome, I came back from ESPN, because I HAD to be there. We know in 2020 major changes will be coming with the new roof and great stadium enhancements that our fans will love. In the meantime, we are already in motion to make our house THE place to experience college football. Check out all of the enhancements fans will experience this Saturday here at Cuse.com.
ORANGE IN THE PROS
Four years goes fast and we are so proud of the Syracuse Alumni competing professionally.
Brittney was stellar here and is now a leader for the Atlanta Dream. Last night they came very close to the WNBA finals:
Congratulations to @Sykes_20 & @AtlantaDream on a great season.

From missing the playoffs in 2017, to Game 5 of the Conference Finals in 2018, #OrangeNation is so proud of you and can't wait to see what you do next. 🍊🏀 pic.twitter.com/AimB6MgfQ2
Zaire was the first three time Captain and a leader on and off the field as a Whitman grad. Love the number Z!
We love our ORANGE IN THE NFL.
WELCOME TO THE NEWEST ORANGE ATHLETES
We have 147 new student-athletes enrolling this fall. Amazing. 24 States. 10 Countries. We are global and it's great. Keeping that in mind, please connect with us, from wherever you may be.
CONNECT
The Orange Club, our development arm, is going through a renaissance under the leadership of Football alum Robert Arkeilpane. Please connect with our staff to learn how your engagement provides future success for your teams.
ASK YOUR QUESTION
Before I was the AD for the Orange, I was a student and then an alum and fan just like so many of you. I'm now the steward of this amazing Athletics Department. The staff that I have brought together behind the scenes is working every day to deliver on the promises of our Mission Statement. Please reach out to me with questions and ideas, and we will even address some right here on this blog!
Submit your question!
I'm ready to get the ball rolling, kicked, kicked off and put in the back of nets or over the goal line. I hope you are too!
Go Orange!
