Syracuse, N.Y. – It's been 28 days since the 12th-ranked Syracuse Orange women's basketball team played at home but on Sunday, Jan. 13, 'Cuse will host North Carolina (9-7, 0-2 ACC) in the Atlantic Coast Conference home opener at 3 p.m. It's Girl Scout Day in the Carrier Dome with CookieWow, the official cookie selling season kickoff, taking place in the back court beginning at 2 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Sunday's game will be on RSN with Tom Werme and Kelly Deyo on the call.
The Orange opened the conference season with a pair of road wins at Clemson and No. 25 Virginia Tech last week. Syracuse used overtime to beat the Hokies for its third win over a nationally ranked team this season.

She leds the Orange with 16 points and 7.9 assists per game this season while Miranda Drummond and Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi add 11.5 and 10.5 points per game, respectively. The Orange are 6-0 at home this season and have won 19 of their last 21 games inside the Dome including eight straight dating back to last season's 68-65 win over No. 17/16 Duke on Feb. 15, 2018.
North Carolina lost its ACC opener by seven, 73-66, at No. 3 Louisville on the road before returning home and suffering a 64-63 loss to Florida State last Sunday. The Tar Heels are 1-3 on the road this season and have lost three out of their last five games. Janelle Bailey leads all scorers with 17.1 points and 9.3 rebounds per game while three other Heels average double figures.
