
Pair of Weekend Meets and XC Junior Nationals Await Orange

The Syracuse track and field teams continue action at a pair of meets this weekend, while a cross country duo will head to the U.S. Junior Nationals in Tallahasee.
The Harvard Crimson Elite meet will be on Friday at Harvard University, with the lineup featuring mostly sprinters, but a pair of distance runners will take on the mile.
The Bruce Lehane Invite begins action on Saturday at Boston University, with events of all distances, from 60 meters to the 5k run.

The Harvard Crimson Elite meet will be on Friday at Harvard University, with the lineup featuring mostly sprinters, but a pair of distance runners will take on the mile.
The Bruce Lehane Invite begins action on Saturday at Boston University, with events of all distances, from 60 meters to the 5k run.

- Action on the track gets underway at 3:45 p.m. and the last race will be at 5:20 p.m.

- The meet will take place at Gordon Indoor Track.

- Aviana Goode, Andrew Aguilera, Richard Floyd and Chevis Armstead will all compete in the 60-meter hurdles.
- Goode will compete in the long jump later in the day.
- Eunice Boateng and Chris Tucker will compete in the 60-meters.
- The first track event gets underway at 12:30 p.m.

- Aguilera, Floyd and Armstead will again compete in the 60-meter hurdles.
- Goode will jump in the high jump.
- Boateng will compete in the 200-meters.
- Noah Affolder and Simon Smith are set to compete in the mile.
- Aidan Tooker became the latest Syracuse runner to break for minutes in the mile, finishing with a time of 3:59.39, joining Justyn Knight, Joel Hubbard, Martin Hehir and Adam Palamar as the other Orange runners to accomplish the feat.
- Joe Dragon and Kevin James placed first and second in the 5k, as Dragon finished at 14:05.59, while James crossed the line at 14:14.74
- Michael Phillips was right behind Tooker with a finish time of 4:02.57
- Aviana Goode finished fifth in the women's high jump, clearing 1.70 meters in New York
- In her season debut, Kadejhia Sellers placed sixth in the 400 with a time of 55.54, while Alexis Crosby finished third at 55.90.
