
Orange Travel to West Coast on Friday

Syracuse, N.Y. – The Orange (7-2) head west for a two-game road trip against Cal and No. 16 Stanford this weekend. 'Cuse begins the trip Friday with a 6 p.m. ET game against the Bears. Syracuse jumped five spots in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Poll this week after defeating No. 2 Duke, 2-1, on the road last Friday.
Four Orange have multiple goals this season and 'Cuse is led by freshmen Charlotte de Vries who has nine. SJ Quigley and Laura Graziosi each have a team-best three assists. As a unit, the Orange average 2.25 goals per game and have out-scored opponents 18-11 this season.
Cal is 3-6 this season and has won two of its last three games. Maddie Cleat, Megan Rodgers and Katrina Carter combine for more than half the team's goals this season. They all have three goals, Cleat and Rodgers tie for team lead eight points with two assists each.
Following Friday's game, the Orange remain in Berkeley for a 5 p.m. ET neutral site clash with Stanford on Saturday, Oct. 5.
