Five Orange to Compete in ITA All-American Championships

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — With half of the fall tennis schedule already in the bag, Syracuse tennis is set to compete in the 2019 Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. Competition runs Oct. 5-13 between the University of Tulsa's Michael D. Case Tennis Center and the Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park.

The Orange will be represented by seniors Miranda Ramirez and Guzal Yusupova, junior Sofya Golubovskaya, sophomore Sofya Treshcheva, and freshman Polina Kozyreva. Yusupova and Kozyreva kick off the tournament for the Orange with respective 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. pre-qualifying singles matches Saturday morning. Yusupova opens against TCU's Aleksa Cventicanin, while Kozyreva will face off against Texas A&M's Renee McBryde.

Ramirez and Golubovskaya enter the tournament set to compete in the qualifying singles round that opens Oct. 8. The doubles pairing of Golubovskaya and Treshcheva also open the tournament that day, the duo competing in the qualifying doubles round. Main draw action for both singles and doubles competition begins Oct. 9.
