SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Time again to defend the home turf. Syracuse women's soccer (2-7-2, 0-3-1 ACC) hosts Wake Forest (5-4-3, 0-2-2 ACC) Thursday, Oct. 10. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and fans can watch the action live on ACC Network Extra. It's pink night at SU Soccer Stadium and all in attendance are asked wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Fans who bring a new or gently used beanie will receive a brand new 'Cuse beanie, and the first 100 students will get a stack of pancakes and fanny pack. Syracuse women's basketball star Tiana Mangakahia will walk out with team during pregame as an honorary captain of the game. Parking and admission are free.
"Wake is extremely athletic, they're very quick and will probably try to get us in wide positions so we're going to have to have confidence on the ball after we defend," head coach Nicky Adams said. "I think we're doing a good job at putting numbers behind the ball and defending, but it's that confidence piece in our transition that we're lacking so we've been focusing on that. We're opening opportunities against everyone we play, we're just not putting them away. I'm hoping that this week we can get some names back onto the score sheet."

Last Time Out
