SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse hosts Colgate on Tuesday, Nov. 13 in the 172nd all-time meeting between the two teams. Opening tip in the Carrier Dome is set for 7 p.m.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (0-1, 0-1)has had a week off since opening the 2019-20 campaign against defending national champion Virginia on Nov. 6. Redshirt junior Elijah Hughes led the Orange effort with 14 points in a 48-34 loss to the Cavaliers. It marked just the fifth time the 'Cuse has lost its season opener under the direction of head coach Jim Boeheim.

ORANGE DEBUTS
Four freshmen made their Syracuse debut in the season opener. Jesse Edwards, Joseph Girard III, Bryce Goodine and Quincy Guerrier officially donned the orange for the first time. Girard III scored three points, while Edwards hit his only field goal attempt for two points.

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
Wednesday's game marks the second for Colgate (1-1) against an ACC team in a span of four days. The Raiders are coming off an 81-68 loss at Clemson on Sunday, which evened their record at 1-1.

All five of Colgate's starters are averaging double figures in scoring after the first two games. Rapolas Ivanauskas leads the way with 19.0 ppg. He was named the 2018-19 Patriot League Player of the Year after transferring from Northwestern. In addition, Vanauskas was named an honorable mention All-American by the Associated Press.

Matt Langel is in his ninth season at the helm of the Colgate program. Last season, Langel was named Coach of the Year by the Patriot League, ECAC and NABC District 13 after he led Raiders to the NCAA Tournament and a program-record 24 wins.

SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse has faced Colgate more than any other opponent since the program began in 1900-01. The Orange lead the all-time series, 126-45. The Raiders' last win against the 'Cuse came in February 1962.

Last season, Tyus Battle led a group of three Orange to reach double figures in scoring in a 77-56 victory over the Raiders in the Dome.
