SYRACUSE, N.Y – Sophomore Emily Engstler recorded her second consecutive double-double and redshirt junior Kiara Lewis scored a season-high 17 points to lead Syracuse to a 75-53 victory against Albany in the Carrier Dome. The win is the third straight for the Orange to start the season.

"It's been one of those weeks after our game where we were a little banged up, and we haven't had a full practice since we left the last game. We haven't taken a shot, literally, we walked through and we had sickness go through our team and our goal was to get to this game healthy and get to the game with our full roster."

OF NOTE
- Engstler scored 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds against the Great Danes. She also had a double-double on Tuesday against Maryland Eastern Shore when she had 15 points and 11 boards.
- Engstler helped Syracuse outrebound Albany, 43-31, as the Orange held a 14-8 advantage in second-chance points.
- The 'Cuse also outscored Albany in the paint, 38-20.
- Lewis was 6-for-12 from the field, including 2-for-6 from 3-point range, on her way to a team-high 17 points.
- Saturday's contest was the 100th game for senior for Gabby Cooper. She has started every game in which she has played for the 'Cuse. Cooper was Syracuse's third player to reach double figures against the Great Danes with 10 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams held the lead in a back-and-forth first quarter that ended in a 16-16 tie. Kyara Frames was 2-for-3 from 3-point range for a team-best six points for Albany, while junior Digna Srautmane led the way for Syracuse with five points.
- The Orange started to pull away at the end of the second quarter. Syracuse outscored the Great Danes, 8-1, in the final 2:37 to take a 34-24 lead into the locker room at halftime. Lewis started the scoring run with a 3-pointer and ended it with another with 36 seconds on the clock that gave the Orange their largest lead of the first half, 34-23. Albany's Morgan Haney hit a free throw with four seconds remaining to cut the deficit to 10 at intermission.
- Syracuse's offense continued to roll after intermission and a pair of free throws from Cooper gave the Orange a 43-28 lead with 6:01 on the clock. Albany fought back and a 3-pointer by Frames cut the lead to eight at 45-37 at the 2:14 mark, but the 'Cuse responded with a 9-5 scoring run to extend the advantage to 12, 54-42, after three.
- The Orange continued to pull away in the fourth quarter and a traditional three-point play ÂÂÂby Brooke Alexander with 27 seconds remaining gave Syracuse a 75-53 victory.

The Orange have eight days off before hosting No. 1 Oregon on Sunday, Nov. 24 in the Dome. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. The game will be televised on ACC Network and ACC Network Extra.
