
Men’s Rowing Concludes Fall Season

Ithaca, N.Y. – Syracuse had a dominating performance at the Cornell Autumn Classic placing four boats in the top-5 of the V4+ and won the V8+ by a convincing margin.<br />
<br />
"Our guys raced well today," assistant coach Jason Elefant said. "It was the culmination of a pretty productive fall season and I think all of our boats handled their business effectively down at Cornell's race course."<br />
<br />
Syracuse A crossed the finish line in 9:18.3 in the V4+ while the Orange B, C and D crews placed third, fourth and fifth, respectively. Cornell's heavyweight A crew was second in 9:33.7.<br />
<br />
In the V8+ the Orange crossed the line in 8:26.3 beating both Cornell's lightweight and heavyweight crews. The Orange B crew placed fourth and the C and D boats were eighth and ninth, respectively.<br />

Syracuse heads into its winter training with a strong foundation from the fall season. The Orange being their 2020 season in Chicago, Ill., when they face Wisconsin on April 4.<br />
