SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse returns to the Carrier Dome for a brief one-game homestand when it hosts Iowa on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. The game is part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and the Watch ESPN app. Fans can also listen to the live broadcast on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (4-3, 0-1) looks to return to its winning ways after an 85-64 setback against Penn St. in the NIT Season Tipoff at the Barclays Center on Friday. Redshirt junior Elijah Hughes continued to lead the Orange offense. He was 11-for-13 from the free throw line on his way to 19 points against the Nittany Lions. Hughes is the Orange's leading scorer this season, averaging 19.0 points per game.

'CUSE IN THE BIG TEN/ACC CHALLENGE
The Orange will take part in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge for the seventh time. Syracuse has an all-time record of 3-3 in the event. Last season, the Orange traveled to Columbus, Ohio to take on Ohio State. The 'Cuse trailed by two at halftime but rallied in the second half and posted a 72-62 win against the 16th-ranked Buckeyes.

SCOUTING THE HAWKEYES
Iowa is coming off an 83-73 loss to San Diego State on Friday at the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Hawkeyes (5-2), which included a win against No. 12 Texas Tech.

Junior Luke Garza is averaging a double-double through the first seven games, scoring 19.6 points and grabbing 10.1 rebounds per game. In addition, redshirt freshman CJ Fredrick (11.1) and sophomore Joe Wieskamp (10.9) also average double figures in points.

Fran McCaffery is in his 10th season at Iowa. He has guided the Hawkeyes to seven postseason tournament appearances in the last eight years. Prior to taking over the Iowa program, McCaffery served as head coach at Siena from 2005-10.

SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday's game marks the fourth meeting between Syracuse and Iowa. The Hawkeyes lead the series, 2-1. Iowa won the first two games against the Orange before the 'Cuse defeated the Hawkeyes, 66-63, in the 2K Classic in Madison Square Garden in 2014. Chris McCullough scored 20 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Orange.
