PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Syracuse and Pittsburgh will meet for the second time in two weeks when the Orange visit the Petersen Events Center on Saturday, Feb. 2. Game time is set for 6 p.m.

The game will be televised on ESPN2 and on the Watch ESPN app. Fans can also listen to the live action on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse defeated Boston College, 77-71, in Chestnut Hill on Wednesday night, improving its record to 15-6, including a 6-2 mark in ACC play. The Orange have now won four of their last five contests and eight of their last 10.

Junior Tyus Battle again led the way with 31 points, improving his season average to a team-best 18.0. Battle has 30 or more points twice in the last five games. Freshman Buddy Boeheim contributed 13 points off the bench. In his last four contests, Boeheim is averaging 10.3 points per game as he is 14-for-21 (.667) from behind the arc during the span.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
The 74-63 loss at Syracuse on Jan. 19 started a four-game losing streak for Pittsburgh. The Panthers are 12-9 overall and 2-6 in the ACC following an 82-69 setback at Clemson on Tuesday.

Xavier Johnson leads Pitt and ranks eighth in the ACC in scoring, averaging 16.9 points per game. He is one of three Panthers averaging double figures in scoring. That group includes Trey McGowens (13.2 ppg.) and Jared Wilson-Frame (11.6 ppg.). McGowens ranks second in the ACC in steals (2.14 spg.), while Terrell Brown is third in blocked shots (2.19 bpg.).

Jeff Capel is in his first season at the helm of the Pittsburgh program. The Duke grad previously had head coaching stints at VCU and Oklahoma and spent many years as an assistant coach at his alma mater.

THE SERIES
Syracuse's win against the Panthers in the Carrier Dome on Jan. 19 increased its lead in the all-time series to 69-45. Battle scored 22 points to lead the Orange to a 74-63 victory in that contest. Syracuse met Pitt in the Petersen Events Center last season. The Orange held the Panthers to a 27.7 shooting percentage and recorded a 60-55 victory.
