
No. 16 Orange Welcome Alumni, Family for Senior Day

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 16th-ranked Syracuse Orange women's basketball team welcome alumni and family to the Carrier Dome on Sunday when Syracuse hosts Wake Forest at 2 p.m. 'Cuse looks to bounce back after a 77-73 loss at home on Wednesday to No. 12 NC State. Fans can watch live on ACC Network Extra.
Syracuse is 18-6 overall and 9-2 at home this season. The Orange are led by Tiana Mangakahia and Miranda Drummond, who score 15.4 and 11.5 points per game, respectively. In league play, 'Cuse is 7-4 and averages 73.9 points per game and 39.7 percent from three-point range. Syracuse has won three of its last five and six of its last 10 games.
Wake Forest is 10-14 overall and 1-10 in league play with its only win being a 10-point win on the road at Virginia on Jan. 27. Three of Wake Forest's top-four scorers from last season have missed a combined 46 games this season due to injury with Elisa Penna, the team's leading scorer, not appearing on the court since the Demon Deacons lost to North Carolina on Jan. 17.
Syracuse leads the all-time series 5-1 and has won the last three meetings. Last time the two met 'Cuse earned a 71-61 win in Winston-Salem.
Prior to the start of Sunday's game, the Orange will honor its 2019 senior class which includes Miranda Drummond, Brandi Fowler, Raven Fox, Tiana Mangakahia and Isis Young.
