
Orange Set for Panthers Rematch Thursday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 18th-ranked Syracuse University women's basketball team will face Pittsburgh for the second time this season, as the Orange host the Panthers on Thursday in the Carrier Dome. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and fans can watch live on ACC Network Extra.
The Orange (19-6, 8-4 ACC) picked up their ninth win at home this season on Sunday versus Wake Forest, 77-57. Four Syracuse players scored in double-digits, including Miranda Drummond, who hit four three-point field goals to contribute a game-high 17 points. Guard Tiana Mangakahia paces the Orange this season with 15.4 points per game and leads the Atlantic Coast Conference in assists (208) and assists per game (8.3).
Pittsburgh is 10-17 overall this year, including a 1-12 mark in conference play. The Panthers earned their first ACC win last week at home versus North Carolina, 91-78. Pitt is led by seniors Danielle Garven and Cassidy Walsh, who pace the team with 11.0 points per game and 9.9 points per game, respectively.
Syracuse leads the all-time series 42-19 with a 22-6 record in the Dome. The Orange have won the last 15 meetings versus the Panthers, including last month's 82-50 victory in Pittsburgh. Forward Digna Strautmane was 7-of-9 from the field and knocked down four three pointers for a season-high 22 points. Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi scored 16 points, shooting a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor, and reeled in a team-high eight rebounds.
